This section of my portfolio highlights my teaching philosophy and showcases the most recent courses I have taught.
Teaching philosophy
I have been teaching since 1989 and took on the mantle of teacher educator in 1996. In that capacity, I showed teachers how to use and integrate technology.

I believe that technology should not be used because they are “cool tools”. To be effective, technology should change learners’ knowledge, skills, or attitudes over time.

In this section, I describe three of the most recent courses that I taught and facilitated while I pursued a Ph.D. in Instructional Systems Technology, and before that, a Masters in Educational Technology.

The first two courses were taught mostly online while the third course was conducted face-to-face. While all the courses are technology related, the first two courses targeted preservice and in-service teachers respectively and focused on technology integration and use. The third course was offered to undergraduate and graduate students alike and focused on Web design and construction.
